Our Fall 2022 Micro Grant Application is now closed. Applicants will be notified of their grant on or before November 18th.  Newton Community Pride offers two Micro Grant cycles per calendar year. Spring 2023 Micro Grant Information:

  • Application opens March 1, 2023
  • All applications due April 1, 2023, 7pm
  • Decisions will be notified on or before April 30, 2023
  • The event or program funded by our Micro Grant needs to occur on or before August 31, 2023
  • The event or program will not be approved for funding if it has already taken place.
  • Micro Grant funding will be dispersed 15-30 days prior to the event or program
  • Maximum grant request is $1,500, past grants have averaged between $300 – $1,100
  • Applicants event/project needs to benefit the Newton community and be located in Newton
  • Applications must include event or program budget information and most recent 990 if available
  • Locations for event or program must be vetted and approved before submitting application
  • Location must be accessible to all and ADA compliant
  • Applicants must skip one grant cycle before reapplying if they have been awarded an NCP grant. Typically, NCP has 2 grant cycles per year, in the spring and fall
  • We encourage applicants and programs that embrace the diversity of Newton and represent the voices, experiences and community of historically marginalized groups in Newton
  • NCP will consider all projects consistent with our Mission: to build community for all to enjoy through arts and culture programming, supporting beautification projects and promoting volunteerism
  • Exclusions: public school programs, request for food/beverages, personal request for scholarship and capital improvement funding
