Hi, my name is Lori Lass and my husband Eric and I have been donors and volunteers for Newton Community Pride since 1999.

We moved to Newton for the schools and a chance to have a real backyard. What we found is that NCP’s annual events gave our family the small town feel we had been looking for. We started with NewtonSERVES clean up projects and the family fun at KidsFest. As soon as our kids, Hannah and Abby, were old enough, we made the Halloween Window Painting event an annual favorite. Even when our kids aged out, I volunteered to help out with the Halloween Window Paintings.

More recently, Eric and his band, Cross Street, played at the Harvest Fair, and we have always been huge admirers of the beautiful garden Newton Community Pride maintains in Newton Centre. We’re always happy to donate to Newton Community Pride–both money and time–because the programs and events they sponsor make living in Newton joyful and created some of our family’s best memories.

Lori is retired from Newton Cultural Development and Eric is retired from a financial and teaching career. They live in Newton Highlands.
