“I have created community programming in Newton Highlands since 1997, first as a volunteer and then as Executive Director of the Hyde Community Center and also the Brigham Community House. Being on the Pride Board with all the city-wide community programming was a natural progression for me.
I served on the Newton City Council for 10 years representing Ward 5. I was chairman of the Programs and Services Committee, which worked regularly with Pride.
I have enjoyed moving from a liaison for the City Council to serving on the Pride Board. Pride is undergoing change and that is good for the organization and for the City of Newton.
Village Bank drives much of the community programming led by Susan Paley. Without Village Bank there would not be the cultural and community enrichment in the City of Newton.”
